Easy way to get rid of those piles of business cards!

I recently got a phone call from a long time business acquaintance, and friend asking me to please take a look at his latest project.  Because of my blog http://www.RealtyTechBytes.com, I get requests like this quite frequently. In most cases I don’t report on them because they don’t fit my criteria of something useful to folks in the…

Instacorder – Voice to email at the touch of a button!

Back in 2006 I discovered a really cool service called Jott.  What made Jott cool was the fact that I could call Jott and dictate a message that Jott would then transcribe into text and then email to me.  By programming The Jott number into my OnStar calling system in my car I was able…

Document scanning on your iPhone

While on vacation recently I had the need to send a paper document to someone.  I had no scanner or fax machine available to me.  To compound matters, the document needed to be in Kansas that afternoon…and I was in Maui! I really didn’t feel like going in search of a fax machine, so I…

MagicPlan puts the magic in the plan!

I recently ran across a free app for the iPhone and iPad that really impressed me.  It’s called MagicPlan and the way that it creates floor plans on your “i device” is truly magical. Essentially you just fire up the app which turns on the rear facing camera.  You then tap a few buttons when…

Getting a new Mac for Christmas?

Making the switch from a Windows based PC to a Mac makes a lot of sense.  And rather than try to convince you why I feel that way, I’ll send you off to a page on the Apple site that really illustrates my statement: http://www.apple.com/why-mac/ I’ll wait for you to go and take a look,…
