Here in the US, Income Tax day was a month ago. By now you have paid your taxes and maybe even filed an extension so that your actual tax return has been delayed. In either case, if you owed money you had to send it in.
Did you struggle with your return? Pulling expenses together from a mountain of receipts? Or do you have something in place that can organize that chore for you?
If you resolved that next year would be different but haven’t yet implemented a plan or process, then read on as I found something that may be very helpful to you.
The Stride Tax app will help you track mileage and allow you to keep track of other expenses that you incur as a real estate agent. The app is available for both iPhone and Android phones. If you go to https://www.stridehealth.com/tax and plug in your cell phone number, they will text you a link so that you can download the app.
Once you have done that, you go through a quick setup process that lets you create an account and tell the app that you are a real estate agent.
When finished you are ready to begin tracking your mileage and other expenses. Simply taking a photo of your receipts allows the app to categorize the expense and prepare it for inclusion in to an IRS ready list of expenses.
They also offer to help you find deductions at https://blog.stridehealth.com/post/real-estate-agent-tax-deductions as well as other tax related advice.
One other benefit too this app is that they will help you find affordable vision, dental and health insurance too!
Unless you already have a solid system in place, this is worth a look. I almost forgot to mention that it is free!
