I was meeting with an agent the other day when I noticed that she has over 4,000 unread emails in her gmail account! (The total number of read and unread emails was staggering!)
When I asked her about it she replied that her email has become almost unusable. Further questioning revealed that her clients know to call or text her if they want to communicate with her.
A few questions from me got answers that scared us both! I asked how would she know if she received an email from someone as a result of her advertising her email address? What if it was a new buyer or seller inquiry? How would she know? She answered that she wouldn’t know and then went on to say that maybe she had already missed some of those inquiries!
Ya think?
Dealing with this problem is where we spent the next few hours. When we were done we had gotten rid of about a quarter of the old emails, but we still have more work to do.

The idea behind each of these tips will also work with other email systems if you don’t use gmail. You can do a search on Youtube for your particular email system to find help.
