I had the pleasure of attending a webinar last week put on by Dan Bremer, President and Co-Founder of MyTheo. MyTheo, based in San Francisco, brings the power of the Multiple Listing Service and so much more to your Android, iPhone, iPad and desktop computer.
Disclaimer: I have known Dan and other members of his team for over a decade, and have followed the development of this app for some time now. However, I am not affiliated with them in any way and have not received any compensation for writing about their app here. In truth, they don’t even know that I am writing this!
Having said that, if you are in their service area, and since they offer a 30 day trial, I suggest that you go and give the app a spin if anything that I say here sparks your interest.
So what does myTheo actually do? To start with, they pull a feed from the MLS and update it every 15 minutes. This is on a par with your brokerage and any other IDX source of real estate listing information. This guarantees that you have the most current information at hand.
They then display the info on your hand held device anywhere that you happen to be where you can get an internet connection, which is practically everywhere.
They way the info is “sliced, diced and presented” is the reason why you want this app.
If you look at this screen shot of the what you see when you first open the app, you’ll see buttons for Open Homes (Maybe someday we’ll have these again!), a 48 hour Hotsheet (listings, pending and sold over the past 48 hours), Active for the past 30 days, Solds for the past 30 days, My Recents and My clients.
Along the bottom are icons for Home, Search, Tours (maybe again some day) Notifications and Connections.
The app is highly configurable to match your unique way of doing things, but right out of the “box” it will streamline and speed up the way that you do business, if for no other reason it allows you to conduct searches, share them with your clients, search for and contact “the other agent”, map properties, get driving directions and so much more.
If you go to https://mytheo.com/resource-center/ you’ll be able to access many tutorials and training videos to help you get a better understanding of the power of this app. Pricing info can be found at https://mytheo.com/our-pricing-plans/.
The crew at myTheo are all good folks. Many of them have deep relationships with our industry and many of them have been top producing real estate agents working across all price ranges in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
If you do nothing else, click on this link to get a quick overview of the app and also to see a quick video of the app at work: https://mytheo.com/
Go check it out! If all the predictions about 2021 being a red hot year for real estate come true, you are going to want to have the best tools at your disposal to take maximum advantage.
myTheo fits that bill to a T!
