Ever notice how you can be shopping for something online and then everywhere you go online afterwards you see ads for what you were shopping for? I sure did and it annoyed the heck out of me! I tried private browsing, I tried telling my browser to not let companies track me and still those ads would come through. Admittedly, some of the ads were useful, but in the long haul, I just found them to be creepy.
So, I was delighted to find an extension for the Chrome browser that has put those ads to a dead stop!
The extension is called Crumble and you can get it here: http://innovation.avg.com/projects/crumble/
As of this writing, it’s only available for Chrome. I have no idea if they have plans to make it available for other browsers.
So, if you are bugged by those creepy ads, start using the Chrome Browser (if you aren’t already) for your online shopping. Make sure that you visit the link above and install the free extension and you’ll be protected. Frankly, I am astonished at the number of 3rd party tracking cookies that Crumble blocks on some of my favorite sites.
There is a very comprehensive FAQ on the page that I have linked that will answer all of your questions. Go for it and stop the creepy ads!
