Last week I talked about setting up a Realtor dot com profile. This week I want to talk about doing the same thing but with Trulia.
Trulia is a popular online real estate marketplace that allows agents to connect with potential clients and also to promote their listings.
Creating a profile on Trulia is a simple process and can provide you with a number of great benefits, such as increased visibility and client interaction.
1. To get started, you’ll want to visit Trulia’s website and click on the “For Professionals” option (in small print just below the login fields). This will take you to a page that looks like a sales page for zillow Preferred Agent, but don’t worry, this is also the place to create your Trulia profile.
Zillow acquired Trulia in July 2014, and the deal closed in 2015. The two companies have been operating as a combined entity ever since, offering a wealth of real estate resources and services to buyers, sellers, and agents alike.
2. From here, you can follow the steps outlined on the page to create your profile. You’ll need to provide some basic information about yourself, such as your name and contact information, as well as some details about your real estate experience and specialties. You’ll also have the opportunity to upload a photo and customize your profile to make it stand out.
3. Once you’ve created your profile, you can add your past sales and post new for sale listings by clicking on the appropriate button. Your listings will then be posted on Trulia via Zillow Post a Listing.
I’m not entirely convinced that having a Trulia profile will be a way to boost your visibility or income, but since it is free, I cant see a downside to doing this!
