Part of my job with my current brokerage is to meet with agents and provide guidance on a variety of topics that they need advice on.
Recently I met with a newer agent (less than 3 years) who is experiencing success as a result of her prospecting efforts, and is finding it hard to stay on top of things.
The brokerage does offer a top of the line CRM and back office software package, but as we all know, unless you actively use it every day, it’s hard to get value from it!
After some questioning I found out that the agent really wanted to use some sort of easier system. I suggested paper. In the old days when I started we ALL carried three ring binders with Day Timer pages. They came in several sizes and formats. When I suggested that something like that could be a good alternative, I could see the light come on!
Any office supply store will have a variety of weekly and monthly calendars that could be adapted for real estate agent use, but these days there are better alternatives!
I found three that you might want to check out if you are one of those folks that would like to have their schedule, goals, contact list and to do’s at your finger tips!
1. Take a look at https://www.realthersociety.com/ultimate-real-estate-planner

From their website we learn:
Organize. Prioritize. Strategize.
Pipeline Planner is crafted to help real estate professionals organize and align their tactical day-to-day tasks with larger business and personal goals.
Real estate agents have lofty goals that are usually achieved as a result of everyday steps. In fact, it is almost always those regular daily processes that lead to long-term success and more real estate closings.
This tool is the canvas to note these big picture goals and make those every day plans, all in one place.
Prices range from $12.95 for the downloadable version to $29.95 for the softbound version.
3. Finally, if you are more of a minimalist, you might like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Planner-Notepad-document-calendar-organized/dp/B07Y2J3WHZ
This is a pad of pages, all the same, that allow you to track time, phone calls, milage and to do’s (pre-printed)
From their site we learn:
A Daily Planner for busy Real Estate Agents who recognize the importance of keeping organized and on-top of daily tasks. A Real Estate Agent’s business is hectic and often unpredictable, so simplify by keeping daily tasks organized with single page of checklists, calendar, and a space to document client and customer calls, and business mileage.
This is pre-printed so for $14.99 and tax and shipping, you can have this delivered.
Don’t be afraid to start using a paper planner/tracker. After all, one heck of a lot of real estate was sold by agents using these kind of systems long before CRMs, smart phones and computers came along. I should know because I was one of them!
