I’m no fan of Microsoft or it’s software as I am sure is apparent to any regular reader of my blog posts. However, I realize that many of you still rely on Microsoft operating systems as well as the ubiquitous Microsoft Office.
Part of my distaste for Microsoft stems from their draconian licensing policies and their over the top pricing strategies. Couple that with the many issues that plague Microsoft software from viruses to endless software updates and you can begin to see why I heartily recommend that every real estate sales person get on the Apple eco-system as soon as possible.
So, I am pleased to tell you about a recent change that Microsoft has made in it’s Office 365 line of products. Please navigate to https://products.office.com/en-us/business/compare-office-365-for-business-plans to see their new pricing and bundling strategies.
If you already have an email solution that you are happy with, then the Office 365 Business Plan is probably right for you as it gives you the full desktop version of MS Office with rights to install it on up to 5 PCs or Macs. You also get the rights to install it on up to 5 tablets or phones.
You get online versions of MS Office too.
If you need all of that, and want to have Microsoft handle your email (You can use email on your domain) then the version that you want is Office 365 Business Premium, which has all of the above, plus email.

As for me, I’m sticking to Apple’s Mail program for email, Pages for word processing, Keynote for presentations and Numbers for spreadsheets. All of which are free and included in Apple’s Yosemite operating system.
