During the holidays I spent a fair amount of time noodling around with ChatGPT. I’ve talked about this a few times in recent posts and I fear that I am becoming a one trick pony, but I honestly feel like this is something that you or your assistant should be doing.
Here are a few the questions that I posed to the AI followed by the answer that I received.
I first asked the AI what were the qualities of a successful REALTOR:
Here is the answer.
Strong communication skills: REALTORS® need to be able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other industry professionals. They should be able to listen to their clients’ needs and concerns, explain complex real estate concepts in layman’s terms, and negotiate effectively on behalf of their clients.
Organizational skills:REALTORS® often have a lot of different tasks and responsibilities, so it’s important for them to be organized and able to multitask. They should be able to keep track of listings, appointments, and deadlines, and be able to effectively manage their time.
Persistence: REALTORS® may face rejection and setbacks as they work to build their business, so it’s important for them to be persistent and not give up easily. Successful realtors are able to bounce back from disappointments and continue to work towards their goals.
Confidence: REALTORS® need to be confident in their abilities and knowledge of the real estate industry. They should be able to persuade clients to trust them and make important decisions.
Adaptability: The real estate market is constantly changing, so successful REALTORS® need to be adaptable and able to adjust to new trends and conditions. They should be able to think on their feet and come up with creative solutions when faced with challenges.
Honesty and integrity: REALTORS® work with a lot of sensitive and personal information, so it’s important for them to be honest and have strong ethical standards. Successful REALTORS® are able to build trust with their clients by being transparent and acting with integrity.
With a little editing this could be a darn good job description that you show to your clients!
Next I asked it what tech tools did a REALTOR® need to have:
Here is the answer.

Looks like a pretty good list to me!
I also asked it to tell me the BEST way to quickly find someone who wants to sell their home. Another question was to tell me the BEST way to quickly find someone who wants to buy a home.
The answers were interesting to say the least. I might share them in a future post, but you could easily go there yourself and ask your own questions!
One final thing to share was that I asked it to create a new bio for me after I uploaded my resume. If you are interested in seeing that, let me know!
You might be saying that you could write the above information by yourself. And you could, but could you do it in less than 60 seconds? I think not. Herein lies the value. You can use ChatGPT to create marketing language for listings, or you could create handouts for buyers and sellers to help them decide to use you! You are limited by your own creativity on what you ask it to do. As I learn more, I will be developing some course work that on using ChatGPT for REALTORS®. I may give it away or i might charge for the class. That hasn’t been decided yet.
When I asked ChatGPT how a REALTOR® could use the service, here was it’s answer:
ChatGPT is a chatbot version of the GPT-3 language model, developed by OpenAI. As a REALTOR®, you can use ChatGPT in a variety of ways to streamline your business and provide better service to your clients. Here are a few ideas:
Use ChatGPT to generate personalized emails or marketing materials: You can input information about a particular property or client and have ChatGPT generate a customized email or marketing piece. This can save you time and ensure that your communications are tailored to your audience.
Use ChatGPT as a virtual assistant: You can use ChatGPT to handle routine tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering frequently asked questions, or providing information about properties. This can free up your time to focus on more high-value tasks.
Use ChatGPT to generate property descriptions: You can input basic information about a property and have ChatGPT generate a detailed description of the property’s features, amenities, and surrounding area. This can save you time when listing properties and help you create more compelling listings.
Use ChatGPT to generate reports or presentations: You can input data and have ChatGPT generate reports or presentations that summarize the information in an easy-to-understand format. This can be helpful when presenting market data to clients or creating reports for colleagues.
Overall, ChatGPT can be a valuable tool for REALTOR® looking to save time and provide better service to their clients.
