I spent a lot of time this week coaching agents on alternative ways of finding new business leads.
A recurring theme was the frustration that they were feeling with some of traditional methods that we have been using for years. Some common remarks were “I don’t want to come off as sales-y”, or “”I don’t have the money for farming materials”, or “there is too much competition”.
And the list went on.
The truth of the matter is that I agree with them. In our area, one county, there are 4,000 real estate agents chasing too few listings. Too many prospective buyers and sellers get sucked into one of the giant real estate portals before ever contacting an agent.
I feel the pain that these agents are experiencing. So, given that the only purpose of spending money on leads, advertising, farming and any other traditional method of prospective (there, I said it…the “P”word!) is to get face to face with someone who could make a buy or sell decision about real estate.
Most of us are great when in front of people, it’s the getting in front of them that has been the problem.
I proposed a solution to this issue over a year ago, but clearly, none of my coaching clients had ever read my solution.
So, I am dusting off the archives and am linking to the articles (there are three of them)
First up is an overview of my proposed method.

Then there is the article on how to actually do it.

Finally, an article on how to participate without being “that” real estate agent.

So, why not click on the links and read the articles and then take action. Who knows you might end up with some great closings this year!
