My wife has wanted to give me an Apple Watch as a birthday or Christmas gift for years. I have always asked her not to do that as I feel the health features were missing a critical component.
The fact that the watch can not natively check blood pressure is why I always declined. Some apps can be added to smartphones that measure BP, but they are highly inaccurate. Often showing a BP up to 20 points lower than the actual BP as measured by a standard arm compression tool.
However, she finally gave up on me and bought one for herself!
This prompted me to wonder how worthwhile a smartwatch would be to a real estate agent.
So here is what I came up with, which may help you decide whether to buy one … or not!
- Staying connected: The Apple Watch lets you receive calls, text messages, and notifications directly on your wrist. This can be especially beneficial for a real estate agent who needs to stay connected with clients, colleagues, and potential leads, even when they can’t access their phone.
- Calendar and scheduling: The Apple Watch integrates seamlessly with the calendar on your iPhone, allowing you to keep track of appointments, showings, and open houses. You can set reminders that will alert you on your watch, helping to ensure that you never miss a meeting.
- Navigation: The Apple Watch features built-in GPS and can provide turn-by-turn directions. For a real estate agent who is often on the road visiting various properties, this could be a handy tool.
- Health tracking: Real estate can be a demanding job, both physically and mentally. The Apple Watch’s health and wellness features can help you stay on top of your physical health, monitor your stress levels, and encourage you to take breaks when needed.
- Professional image: Lastly, the Apple Watch is a high-end technology that can help portray a professional image. This could be advantageous in the real estate industry, where first impressions are crucial.
This looks like a compelling argument to get one, so if you want to do a little shopping, here is the link to the page on the Apple website that compares the various models:
