Sooner or later you will probably want to create a new website and in the process of doing that you will need a domain name for the site.
The way to find your new domain starts out by visiting GoDaddy or some other web registrar and entering your preferred name into the search box. Most of the time that is a very frustrating experience as it seems that all of the good names have been taken. Eventually you either give up or settle for a less than optimal solution like choosing a .net, .org. or .info instead of the .com that you really wanted.
So, I have a solution that might work for you. A Danish company has created a website that will generate possible domain names for you starting from a keyword that you enter. In my tests they found 5,000 possible domain names for me based on the keyword that I gave them. It also told me that one of the combinations that they checked was already registered and therefore not available, but the other 4,999 that it found were available! Since I was the owner of the domain that it said was not available I felt pretty good about their results.
Here is what they say about themselves:
Agile Domain Search generates better domain names for websites and startups. The way it works is by combining a search term with a list of popular prefixes and suffixes. The website will test each combination’s availability against a database of already registered domains.
