Christmas is a few days away as this is being written and I am thinking that you may be getting a new iPad as a gift! It will come with the new iPadOS and of course it will have the latest hardware.
Even if you don’t get a new iPad, the new iPadOS has a ton of new features that can be a bit confusing at first.
So I found some resources to help you get up to speed.
The CultOfMac (great name!) website offers this tutorial on setting up your new iPad. It’s at: https://www.cultofmac.com/403090/set-up-your-new-ipad-right-way/
I like these guys as they always have something cool related to Apple products.
Speaking of Apple, they have a a very good, but very sparse, support page at https://support.apple.com/ipad
But they have a much better page at: https://www.apple.com/ipados/
The LifeWire website has compiled some useful resources at four different pages
The First is at https://www.lifewire.com/learn-how-ipad-basics-4102711
You can go there to learn what to do with it as well as to explore iPad basics.
The next one is at https://www.lifewire.com/ipad-tutorials-4102710
Here you will find tutorials and resources that will help you master the tablet.
Looking for some tips and tricks? Then go here: https://www.lifewire.com/ipad-tips-tricks-4102709
Lastly go to https://www.lifewire.com/ipad-key-concepts-4102708
And check out some guides to help you understand the key concepts.
Even if you don’t get a new iPad, you will want to make sure that your old iPad is running iPadOS.
Go here to see if your iPad (or iPhone) is capable of running the new OS:

If it is, go here to learn how to do the upgrade:

If you do get a new iPad, these links will help you get the most out of it. If you don’t get one, maybe this article will help you decide to get yourself a present!
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah!
