Long time readers know that I am a huge fan of advertising for buyers and sellers on Facebook. There simply is no better way to get your message in front of potential clients as effectively or cost effectively.
There has been one problem though and that has been getting people to give you contact info. People will click on your ad because they like what you are advertising, but when it comes to giving you their contact info you run into some reluctance.
Facebook has a solution to this problem called Lead Ads.
What are Facebook lead ads?
Essentially, they are a format that pre-fills in contact info . This removes the “friction” some people feel about typing in the info you want. You have a lot of flexibility on what you want to collect and the good news is that since this is info that Facebook has collected from their users you are much less likely to end up with bogus contact info. Them most notable is user email addresses and phone numbers. In other words you probably won’t get Daffy@DaffyDuck .com (or worse!) or phone numbers like this 800-555-1212.
When users click or tap on your lead ad, they are taken to a form that’s already populated with contact information from their Facebook profile, so it can be completed with as few as two clicks or taps, and little to no typing.. This ad format is especially useful on smart phones for that very reason.
You can download the collected information from time to time to a spreadsheet that can be imported into your database or CRM.
So how do you create a Lead Ad? You use the same tools that you would use to create a standard Facebook Ad. There are a few different steps though.
Rather than go into a long explanation, I found a source that will walk you through the process. You can find it here:
