I went to Inman CEO Connect last Tuesday in San Francisco. CEO Connect is part of the week long Inman Connect conference that takes place in San Francisco in August and New York City in January (Note to Brad Inman…really??? NYC in January???).
I could not attend the actual Conference on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday because of client commitments, but I did take a quick spin through start up alley on Tuesday before CEO Connect began. Think any trade show that you have ever been to, but reduce it in size dramatically and you will get the picture of what Start Up Alley is all about.
One of the exhibitors was Jigsaw Informatics, a Silicon Valley company, that was debuting their real estate vertical product, REclarity. REclarity is an iPhone app. It’s free, but there are in app purchases that extend it’s functionality.
At first glance, I thought that this was a product in search of a problem to solve, not a product that actually solved a problem. But, on closer inspection, I came to believe that REclarity has merit.
Here is what they say about the app:
“Jigsaw’s New REclarity App enables Real Estate Professionals to easily create and share personalized, image based Zoom and Point (ZAP) Video Messages that provide remarkably clear and precise communications with Clients, Colleagues and Contractors”
As I said earlier, it looked like a product in search of a problem…It appeared to me that I could just use the iPhone’s camera to record a video and talk while creating the video. And actually you could do just that.
But, the app does so much more and it really shines when you realize that you can use Jigsaw’s patent pending Zoom and PointTM technology to highlight important information that you want to convey. Background music can be overlaid for a more polished video and sharing to social sites is as easy as tapping a button. Check out the screen shots below:

Give it a try and if you do, send me something that you have created…I’d love to see it!
