I’ve got some questions for you this week. See if you can answer them all and then share the questions and your answers with some one who can give you an objective analysis of them.
- Why are you a real estate agent? What was your motivation for becoming an agent in the first place, and is the answer to that questions still relevant today?
- Who is your ideal customer/client? What do they need to sell and or buy? The correct answer is NOT a house. Instead do your best to develop a detailed avatar of who you want to be working with, and write it down.
- What are your sales goals? What is your income goal? Have you written them down? How do you plan (what is your strategy) to achieve them?
- Why should anyone work with you when there are so many other agents to work with? You SERIOUSLY need to be able to answer this one!
- Do you presently have the tools you need to implement your plan? If not, do you have a budget to acquire them?
- Once you have all the above, when will you start? When will you achieve the results?
Once you start to work through all of these you are bound to face some inner resistance. The resistance will come because if you haven’t been doing this kind of questioning and planning, you are going to be right up against the resistance to change.
The following came from an article in Psychology Today which may help explain what is going on:
It is in our nature to resist change, and it’s in the nature of the world that things change. A conflict is inevitably set up when we consider any kind of change in our lives, even if it seems to be one that is for the better.
So, take the 6 question quiz and share your results with someone who can help you get to where you want to go. After all, we are nearly ¼ of the way though 2020 and if you are not at least ¼ of the way towards your goals, ask yourself one more question: If not now, when?
