Has the new Apple iPhone got you thinking that it’s time to part company with your old phone?  Are you at the end of your contact with your current carrier and are thinking it’s time for a change?  Or, maybe you are just fed up with phone or the carrier.

Although that post contains some good advice, you are still going to have to venture out to a cell phone store and handle the goods.  It would be nice to have a bit more information before hitting the stores, so pay a visit to www.TryPhone.com.

This is a relatively new service from an established company that mainly helps cell phone carriers and phone manufacturers test their equipment before putting it on the shelves to sell.  At the current time, they have 15 cell phone models featured that you can operate virtually.

As mentioned, there are only 15 phones currently on the site (including the original iPhone) but there is a place for you to request a particular phone.  You can also read reviews on the phones by current users, something that I find interesting, but not actually indicative of what my experience will be.

On most of the phones you can press or click on most of the buttons, but occasionally clicking a button launches a little demo movie that explains what is going on.

It’s worth a visit to see if the phone that you are considering is there.  If it is, click away to your heart’s content and give it a good work out.  It’s the next best thing to actually being at the store.  And, if the one you want isn’t there, request it!
