Here we are in November and the raging dumpster fire that has been 2020 continues to rage on.
The Presidential election has been held, but the results are still murky to the point that it may be some time before we know who will take the oath of office in January.
Covid-19 has altered the way that we do business in such a way that past successful lead generation and marketing techniques are no longer allowed. Or if the are allowed it is only under the umbrella of onerous rules and regulations.
If there ever was a time when a real estate agent needed to plan their business, it certainly is so now! You may have operated your business successfully without a written plan up until now, but I don’t see that erring a viable plan going forward.
Clearly you need to define a path going forward for 2021 if you want to maximize your income.
Last month I wrote an article on the ways that you could creat a business plan. If you missed it, go here: https://realtytechbytes.com/its-not-too-soon-to-start-planning-2021/
To that I want to add a few other good resources.
NAR has a good, high level piece at https://www.nar.realtor/writing-a-business-plan. When you get there you will be on the Overview tab. Be sure to click on “Read More” so that you can see the excellent graphic that out lines what you will find on the References tab. Be sure to click on the References tab to get an in depth explanation of what is on the Overview tab.
For this next resource you will need to set aside an hour or so to read through it…it’s that detailed! Go here https://recessionproofrealtor.com/the-ultimate-real-estate-agent-business-plan/ to get started.
I hadn’t heard of this web site before, but the owner had brought together a lot of interesting information designed to help real estate agents build their businesses. You might want to poke around in it to she what else is there.
But, whatever you do, don’t wait until January to start working on next year’s plan and vision. If you wait, you find yourself FAR behind the agents who start their planning now!
