Here in California we are still under quarantine and doing our best to keep our businesses running.
Personally, I have kept my daily routine pretty much intact and have converted my business practices from face to face meetings with agents to phone calls and Zoom meetings.
I have had a ton of questions from agents about how they can best utilize their time in exile to ramp up their business, or to streamline their processes.
These are the smart agents who know that there will be end to the lock down and that they will need to be positioned to get quickly back to work.
Another common question has been what can they do now to keep their business alive. My personal advice has been to work on their database.
By that I mean to go through the entire database, contacting each person and asking them the following questions:
- How are you doing?
- Do you need anything?
- Can I help you with anything?
- Are you interested in what is happening with real estate values during this quarantine?
- Do I have your correct contact info (in case they are interested in keeping up)
- If they don’t want real estate info, just ask them to verify the contact info that you do have.
Making sure that your database contains current info is crucial to your future success because it will allow you to market appropriately as we move forward into our new realities.
As you ask the questions be sure to pause and listen for responses as that will help you decide what the next question will be.
Given that almost everyone is at home these days, your chances of connecting are better than they have ever been before! And people will be glad that you thought of them enough to check in with them! That will pay dividends in future interactions.
