This post has nothing to do with technology or real estate. Instead it has everything to do with remembering those who paid the ultimate price so that we can enjoy our lives today.
I am referring to the U.S. holiday presently known as Memorial Day. This is the day that we are asked to take a few moments to reflect on the sacrifice made by others so that we can live free today.
I found a website that explains the history of the holiday, and I hope that you’ll take a few moments to read it. http://www.usmemorialday.org/backgrnd.html
As for me, I plan on spending some quiet time this weekend thinking about the men and women who gave their all so that I can sit here and write this post. Any veteran who served in any war will certainly have memories of “brothers in arms” who did not come home, or who came home so badly wounded that their lives were changed forever. My heart will forever be with the U.S. Marines and the “brothers” that I served with in Viet Nam.
So please pardon me while I dedicate this post to the brave, and selfless men and women of the United States Marine Corps who gave their all. For a list of those casualties since WWI go here: http://www.usmchangout.com/usmc/conflicts/casualties/index.html.
Semper Fi, and thank you. You are not forgotten.
