With all that’s gone on this year, and as weary as we all are of current events, I hesitate to bring this topic up. But, I figure if I helped just one person save even one dollar, then it would be worth it.
What am I talking about? Taxes, that’s what. We’ve just gone through the holiday buying period so I know that you don’t want to think about this, but for most of us January 15th is looming large. The final payment of your 2008 estimated taxes is due to the IRS by midnight on January 15th, 2009.
I am not trying to rub salt in the wound by bringing this up; I am hoping that you will head on over to the IRS web site to learn about 15 ways that you might be able to lower your 2008 and perhaps your 2009 tax bill. The IRS has also published some information on the Economic Stimulus Rebate as well as a convenient tax calendar for 2009 that you can print out and post above your desk so that you’ll never miss a tax deadline (or payment). Yeah, right!
Go here for the Calendar: IRS Small Business Tax Calendar and go here for the Economic Stimulus Information: Economic Stimulus Information and go here for the Tax saving Tips: End of Year Tax Planning Tips Note that most of these tips are time sensitive. In other words, click on the link now!
As this will be my last post for 2008, I want to wish you a happy and prosperous new year!
