Hi jerry,
Have enjoyed reading about your conversion from PC to Mac. I have been a Mac user since 1988 and have never owned a PC. I have always been able to do my real estate activities working with a Mac and actually, now that we have Citrix for MLS and Macform Connect (Winforms) I simply have no use whatsoever for going to the trouble of logging in to Vista. I have actually installed Parallels, VMWAre Fusion, and Boot Camp. A total waste of time and money. Granted, I had to struggle for a few years with Macformation, missing out on free Winforms, but now I am all set.
So welcome to the world of Mac and all of us Mac addicts.

For those of us who use Zipforms there is a Mac Forms app now. Does that work for you folks in California? For your readers who are trying to save money on software I highly recommend www.academicsuperstore.com if they have any children (you can stretch it to relatives) in school. The savings are huge.

Unless people need to receive a Word doc, consider using Pages, saving as a PDF, and emailing the PDF. The only time I use Word is to read what someone sends me in that format. That said, I think Office 2008 Entourage is superior to Mac Mail - the rules/folders are perfect for compulsive people, not that you know any.Ira

Jerry, Everyone says it takes 6 months. 7-1-09 was my 6 month date. Love the ease of doing video, integrating my phone, address book, posting pictures, doing calendar, etc. Still have to type .doc to send Word docs despite setting the defaults to XP. BTW, are you available on Monday August 3 for a meeting in San Francisco? Let me know.

Hi Jerry - I switched from Parallels to VMWare Fusion several years ago - VMWare seemed "smoother" and glad to know you feel the same way.Realtors DO need to have a "Windows" program on their Mac for those times that the web based software wasn't programmed with Java. That said - we use "Windows" for MLS Access, WinForms, WyldeFyre.. and that's probably about it.I bought a tablet (slate, no integrated keyboard) computer several years ago, and that (and another windows only) computer are the only ones I'd wished I'd not bought.Docusign does a superb job of "digital signatures" - works as well on Windows as it does on the Mac.
